Grumbacher Retouching Varnish is for intermediate stages of an oil painting. Used to bring out the normal values of sunken-in colors for further work. Clear varnish for protection of oil paintings until sufficiently dry for final varnishing with Damar Varnish Spray. Facilitates color comparison between dried and freshly painted.
